Janelle
With eyes that cannot see, Janelle is at the mercy of those that handle her. Not too long ago, she was not in very safe hands. Turning Pointe Donkey Rescue and Mary Adams saved her from the kill pen. Mary covered the cost of her care and oversaw her rehabilitation, working in tandem with Dr. Christine Sutherland at Reata Equine Hospital. Ark Watch Foundation connected Janelle to Equine Voices and arranged to have her transported to the sanctuary. She is safe now, and shares a corral with Apollo who is a half-blind horse and a great companion to her.

New Lawsuit Filed to Stop
BLM Wild Horse Roundup in Wyoming Checkerboard
Cheyenne, WY (October 4, 2016) – The Cloud Foundation (TCF), the American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign (AWHPC) ,Return to Freedom, and photographers Carol Walker and Kimerlee Curyl filed suit yesterday in U.S. District in Wyoming against the BLM, challenging the agency’s decision to conduct another wild horse roundup in the Wyoming Checkerboard in the southern part of the state. The wild horse advocates are represented by Bill Eubanks of the public interest environmental law firm Meyer Glitzenstein & Eubanks LLP.

Employee: 30 wild horses died of starvation on South Dakota ranch
LANDRY | Grossly emaciated wild horses are dropping dead of starvation and other causes on a South Dakota ranch that is supposed to protect them, according to a former ranch employee.
