Update On Freedom From His New Forever Home
At Out Of Africa

Freedom is now at his new forever home at Out Of Africa Wildlife Park located in Camp Verde Az. Freedom has 2 beautiful and spacious habitats along with several new friends to include the staff and many new animal friends and companions. Thank you to Lisa Braun for coordinating Freedom's adoption along with Karen Pomroy. Freedom is currently hanging out with 2 emus, 3 fallow deer and a burro named Pete. Since Mokora the antelope passed away, Freedom will be relocated to the park owner's backyard to live with Kenyatti the baby antelope and Avalanche the dog. Freedom's new habitat is really cool with lots of plants, a giraffe and zebras as neighbors, and a path that goes right up to the front porch of the house so he can have lots of attention. Freedom will be missed by all of us at Equine Voices as he had become one of the favorites. Freedom, our chunky monkey has made great friends with the volunteers, our baby foal Catori, baby burro Sunrise, and a husky named Kodah.

In Memory Of Mokora

It is with a heavy heart that we pay tribute to Mokora since her passing at Out Of Africa. Mokora was an eland antelope. Eland are the world's largest species of antelope. She was very sweet and friendly and she loved food. Everyone at the park loved her because she was such a character. Mokora was going to be a companion to Freedom at the park. Mokora passed away the night before Freedom's arrival at Out Of Africa.

From The ASPCA

Each year, thousands of beloved companions succumb to heatstroke and suffocation when left in parked cars. It happens most often when people make quick stops—the dry cleaners, the bank or the local deli. Folks, we need to be clear on this: It takes only minutes for your pet to face death—and it doesn't have to be that hot out. On a 78-degree day, the temperature inside a parked car can reach 160 degrees. Even with the windows cracked.

You can help save pets from dying in hot cars. Simply take the following actions: Click Here To Read More

Please help keep our pets safe by passing this information on to your family, friends, coworkers and those on your email list. You can also download the flyer below from ASPCA by Clicking Here, please share and post this flyer.

Thank You "Gulliver" & Friends

Gulliver & His Friends want to make sure now that summer is here that you are taking every safety precaution to keep yourself safe and healthy. Beware of your surroundings at all times and watch for dangerous reptiles such as rattlesnakes, scorpions, tarantulas, Gila Monsters, etc. that are now out with the warm weather. Please be vigilant at all times. If you see any poisonous or dangerous critter, please let Karen, Jean, Ted or a Lead Mucker know immediately, and avoid any contact. Please keep yourself well hydrated, wear a hat and use sunscreen.
