Last week Colorado Representative Jared Polis offered Amendment 130 to the House of Representatives.
Representative Polis stated, "my amendment will help to prevent the Bureau of Land Management from destroying this iconic symbol using funds allocated in this bill to be used for surgical sterilization of wild horses."
TCF Volunteer Lead Legislative Liaison, Elise Lowe-Vaughn was instrumental in helping to put together talking points for Rep. Polis to use. Elise told me this morning that various advocate groups participated in this effort. TCF would like to thank all parties involved. This is the kind of attention we need for wild horses in Washington DC and working together can help make that happen.
